This friendly couple with 3 kids in Acton wanted to add a porch that would add a unique flair and curb appeal to their standard formal colonial. The porch had to provide cover at the main entry and accommodate their yearly neighborhood Halloween party. It was made extra deep and wide to allow for ample comfortable seating and lazy enjoyment. A cedar ceiling, decorative brackets, low drink rail, fan, fir decking and a stain glass dormer combine to create a welcoming feel. The porch allows this family to enjoy the outdoors more easily than the original inward looking colonial.
