Removing Dining Room Wall

Two Doctors in Westwood wanted to make over their kitchen and convert a first floor half bath to a full bath for guest use. They also wanted to improve the flow between the kitchen, dining and family room. The wall between kitchen and dining was removed and an opening was added between the dining room and the family room. French glass pocket doors at some openings allow for the option of acoustic separation. Oak cabinets and laminate counters were replaced with lighter maple frameless cabinets and quartz countertops. A painted island with seating faces a bay window that overlooks a beautiful back yard. Marmoleum click tiles now cushion the feet in the kitchen. A dog feeding station sits below a pantry by the back french door. The tub has a hand-held shower for pet bathing. Craftsman style pendants visually connect the kitchen and dining room.
